What is the level of interaction with Hollywood composers?
In the Momentum program, the level of interaction with Hollywood composers is high. You'll meet with a Hollywood composer who is currently active in the industry once a week.
There are different variations of how you interact, but the most common is this:
They give you scenes from a movie, and then they provide spotting notes which are kind of like a blueprint or guidelines for your composition. You compose based on these notes for one or two weeks, and then present your composition to the Hollywood composer.
They then critique your music, giving you valuable feedback like a coach would, helping you improve and refine your skills. It's a very hands-on approach, with lots of direct interaction and feedback from these top industry professionals.
Â
Is there help with job/career placement in the field?
Yes, the program provides assistance in kick-starting your career in the music industry. During the program, you will be offered to work on real-world projects. This means that job opportunities that come to the program's team will be directed to you. Additionally, the program emphasizes networking. You'll have a chance to connect with, and learn from, some of the biggest composers in Hollywood. This can open doors for future job opportunities. It's like being introduced to a group of successful athletes when you're learning a sport. You get the chance to learn directly from them and the connections you make can lead to opportunities in the field.

Can anyone get in?
Unfortunately, NO. To ensure the group is cohesive, you need to have a certain skill to be part of Momentum. Momentum is by application only. It's for a small group of 20 people.
If you are a beginner and want to join Momentum, you'll be doing a 3-month training program prior to joining called IGNITE (more on this later)
Â
I'm a total beginner. Can I join Momentum?
If you're a total beginner – yes – you can join Momentum... BUT, you'll go through a 3 months program called IGNITE, prior to starting MOMENTUM. Ignite is free when you enroll in MOMENTUM, but many people decide to just take IGNITE. In that case, tuition fees apply, but it's much lower than MOMENTUM. If later on you decide to enroll in Momentum, the IGNITE tuition fees go towards Momentum. In other words, if you're a beginner and want to join Momentum, you'll get three months' worth of extra training for free.
This is NOT a self-contained course. You'll have the same level of mentoring, support, and high touch as MOMENTUM. Please, book a call if you want to know more details about IGNITE.
How many times per year dies Momentum start?

Hollywood Access is a 3-month extension to Momentum Mentorship. You must take Momentum mentorship to be able to transfer to Hollywood Access.

Common factors why composers join Momentum
To improve their skills and grow their career as a composer. It's like signing up for a marathon training program when you're trying to get better at long-distance running. You know you'll be learning from the best trainers (in this case, successful composers and industry professionals), practicing regularly with peers who share your passion, and receiving guidance every step of the way. By the end of the program, you're not only expected to finish the marathon but also to race like a pro.
